Lima Bonita Garden City

Within a social programme, the most important satellite city in current national news is being developed to the south of Lima, with residential space for 7,685 families. The site is surrounded by mountains that form a valley at the foot of the beautiful Loma de Cicasos.

The project adapts to the geometry of the site, optimising the developable area and rationalising road flow. The design originates in public space and its connection with the hills: a network of pedestrian and cyclist circuits allows people to live in harmony with their surroundings.

The corporate image is inspired by the hummingbird, symbol of Peruvian tradition and culture. The study of its wingbeat provides organic curves of great beauty and plasticity, used to generate the main park routes. Most residential passages connect directly to the large central park, keeping the common space full of life throughout the day.
