Description

"La Barraca d'Aigües Vives" sits in a valley between two mountains, south of Valencia. A privileged context where the project seeks to maximise the value of the environment.

The plot measures around 18,823 m², while the building has an area of about 180 m². The house is therefore considered as a centre of gravity that creates its own universe of landscape, based on the existing traces in the territory and respecting the existing trees.

From the entrance, the house presents a compact and defensive image, creating intimacy, while the rest of the facades open up to the landscape. A curved volume embraces the pool space; the bedroom and living room face the mountain. Integration is achieved through geometry and materiality — white tones combined with warm materials, plus large windows that bring the environment inside.
